I am a moderate driver so the horsepower race means nothing to me. Efficiency, comfort, good roadholding, safety and security and yes asthetics mean more to me. The Hyundai Elantra is very sleek and low slung, being a sedan, which I still favour over the current trends. I like the light non-metallic colour - it's unusual and eye catching. The car is very accommodating for passengers and cargo. It's quiet and refined at the speeds I drive and power is sufficient (to coin an old Rolls Royce phrase). Fuel economy is outstanding and equals or betters my old B segment Mazda, in spite of the heavier body, bigger engine and automatic gearbox. It handles the variable quality roads of my home district well. Generally a serene driving experience. The car is loaded with toys, some of which are useful to me, others which aren't. I have de-activated those convenience functions that I don't need. An easy exercise to undertake via the steering wheel controls.
